Oh my gosh, how quickly they grow up....
I was rummaging around my computer at work and came across all of my pictures, many of which I have shared with you guys. My gosh, Baby T has grown so much. I sat and just stared at these shots. He's still a little (relatively speaking) baby but in the short short four months of his life, he has grown so much.
He is at the stage that every day he is doing something new, something to notice, something to talk about, something that should be documented. Somewhere.
I need to take more photos.
We have a new hobby...(I hope)
I remember as a kid, my family went camping a lot to a State Park called
Manatee Springs. I have always enjoyed camping, but haven't done much of it the last ohhhhh 20 years or so. However, on the way back from Biloxi (lost an entire $20!, I'm such a big time gambler...) we stopped at the Florida welcome station and we picked up a lot of brochures. A couple had a lot of information about the numerous State Parks and campgrounds in the area and info about canoeing and kayaking.
We as a family are trying to get a little more active and want to get out and do stuff. So, I started thinking, we should invest in a tent and the other few things we would need and start camping. It's fairly inexpensive, it's fun, you get away from the computer and tv and I'd leave my cell phone at home so I wouldn't be at work, which if my phone is on, I am most definitely at work.
Then I read a booklet about how many rivers and lakes there are that are excellent for canoeing or kayaking. Then I added the two together. We could go camping, get away from all the computers, tv's and cell phones.....and then, we could throw the boat in the water and paddle around and actually enjoy a part of Florida we really haven't been using.
So, when we got home, I hopped online and checked out some prices and read some forums. I quickly found out kayaks are preferred over canoes. So, after spending quite a few hours online reading and at several shops here in town, we are buying
this! B is extremely excited about going kayaking and camping. To be honest, so am I. I can not wait until we got to Manatee Springs and I can show her where I camped, all those years ago.
Any of you go kayaking?
