I'm not sure if this is because I'm getting older or what but...
William Hung, who sings worse than me, dances a lot worse than I can and isn't exactly good looking and has done nothing but fail miserably on American Idol is one of the top 100 most powerful entertainers in the US?
Are you serious? When is someone going to tell this guy he sucks? What amazes me is that people are actually buying his album (HE HAS A #$t%$%^$%^$% ALBUM?!?!?! ARE YOU SERIOUS???)
Is he going on tour? Who would pay $40 to see this guy? Wait... I will, if he comes to my town. I'll also have a big sign that says:
"YOU SOUND HORRIBLE!"
Of course, he won't care, he's already filthy rich.
Added a new Blog to my links...
And had to remove two blogs. They were two of my favorite ones but they hadn't been updated in months, so I decided to pull the plug on them.
Ah well, life goes on in Blog world.
Have a great weekend!
A few regular guy musings...
Isn't it great to see a team with a history like Tampa Bay go on a rampage? 12 game winning streak? But they are still a game under .500? And third in their division? What a great team to start rooting for. Too bad I'm not much of a baseball fan anymore. Thanks to all the pampered idiots expecting regular Joes like us to think they are not treated fairly when they make
only 4 million a year.
So, in NBA news, the Detroit Pistons won the Championship versus the heavily favored Los Angeles Lakers. Didn't they actually give the trophy to the Lakers before the series started? It sounds like it. Good thing they decided to actually let the teams play. I'm no basketball fan, but it sure is nice to see a team that actually acts like a team beat the crap out of a team full of high price superstars. I like Shaq, how can you not? Kobe is an awesome player, too bad he can't keep his hands on his wife, eh? Karl Malone is a good guy and has been a super player for many years. But to watch the Lakers and listen to all the crap they said, it makes me feel all gooshy inside to see the Pistons dominate.
What's really pissy about the whole NBA Championship thing is, sure, Detroit won, but 99% of the news is all about the Lakers and how the 'dynasty' is now being broken up and how Phil Jackson, their Coach, is retiring. On a side note, give me Shaq and Kobe and I could win 75% of my games, I bet. Or, heck, give me Jordan and Pippen and those guys, I'd win 75% of my games, too. I'm sure Phil looked at the lineup minus Kobe and Shaq, called his accountant, checked his bank accounts and said 'The heck with this, I'm gone.
Ack, look what I've done. I wanted to congratulate the Pistons (Quick! Name four of the starters!!!) and comment on how stupid it was that the news media was doing nothing but wallow in the Lakers loss, and look what I did. I jumped on that bandwagon, too.
My apologies, Detroit!
Don't come to my town and riot, ok?
And for the NFL news of the week, if you think you are a fan of Football, you have to want Emmitt to run for 1400 yards. You also wish Emmitt was tearfully announcing his retirement instead of suiting up for another year with the Cardinals. But you
have to be wondering what Emmitt is doing as the starting running back for the Cards. Is Denis Green trying to get him killed?
I'm sorry, but I watched the Dalls/Cards game last year, where he got destroyed and ran for what...negative yardage?
And that's the best the Card's can find as a running back? I hate saying that about one of the best rb's I have ever seen (yup, from high school to college to the Pros) and hopefully, somehow, he is once again good enough to be a starting back, but I didn't see it last year.
I hate when once stratospheric superstars hang on too long and their final years are spent as less than average production. I could name too many to begin to list.
