What the HECK?!?!

This is news deemed worthy of being on CNN.com?? But, a news article about the US Government using known Nazi's to gather information on East Germany, even harboring them on American soil isn't?? I read that article buried in the middle of the National section of the St. Petersburg Times, yet can't find anything about it online.

Ridiculous.

It's as ridiculous as people being amazed that prisoners of war are being treated badly, even made to do things that are very embarassing. Duh. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out, does it? Do people really actually believe that everything the US does is for the best interests of everyone involved? That the US never does anything shady? That we really are in Irag solely for the Iraqi people? That we really did think Iraq had WMD?

It's funny, a few days before the war started, I was reading the newspaper and on the last page of the first section of the paper, there was a small article with the headline that read 'Iraq oil already accounted for'. The article went on to say that plans had been made on who got the oil, how it was going to be transported, guarded, etc etc. Of course, you can't and shouldn't believe everything you read, but isn't it sort of strange how Haliburton is making billions and billions (from nonbidding contracts the government handed them) off the war?

I'm sorry. I guess the last few days seeing that poor guy (purposely not named here.....I'm sick of the sensationalism of a horrific crime and think anyone getting publicity off his death and his family's anguish ought to be ashamed of themselves), I'm sick of the whole thing. I'm tired of American's dying. I'm tired of Iraqi's dying. I'm tired of idiots that have absolutely nothing to do with it profiting off it, whether it is in blog hits or made for TV movies. And I am really sick of Americans being amazed that America is not always the rosy, happy, perfect country that we try portray in political ads and tv.

Do a little research. Heck, google 'American Atrocities'. Think about the ties that America had with many of the same people that are now happily killing Americans now.

I apologize for any of you I may have offended. Wait, actually, I don't. If anyone reading my tiny blog actually think that the US has never done anything without the absolute best interests of mankind as a whole in mind, then please, please, get as offended as you possibly can.

I will say that I 100% support the Americans that have gone to Iraq. I hope that everyone one of them returns home safely. I also believe that the US is the greatest country in the world. I just think it is moronic to think we never do anything wrong.

Ok, all done. Gosh, do I feel better.

Does anyone check the little billboard at the top of every Blog?

Some of the matches it comes up with are a bit funny. I mention kayaking a few times on my Blog (and have a Kayaking Blog HERE!!!) but it matches that with a Frat paddle. Too funny. I wonder if Google is sending drunk Frat Boys to my site looking to buy paddles for whatever weird purposes they use them for?

Anyone else having this problem?

The last two days, those extremely annoying pop up ads have been going crazy. I'll be reading a Blog, and two will pop up. I have a pop up stopper but the last two days, it hasn't stopped them.

I absolutely despise pop up ads. I would gladly, no, ecstatically, do the jail time to have five minutes alone with whoever designed those irritating things. They rank right up there with that extremely annoying 'Can you hear me now?' guy.*

* Ok, I probably wouldn't really physically attack anyone. Probably.
