Moving into a new home can take a lot of your spare time, huh?

but I thought I'd take a few minutes to give an update. The home is moved into and more or less finished. Oh, we have a few tasks left, finishing the master bath, finishing the trimwork in the master bedroom, hanging the border in Baby T's room, but that won't take long to do. Of course, we have no spare time at all, so it might take until we decide to sell the house before it gets done.

B is doing great, she loves the house. Her room really is the best looking room, in my opinion. She also loves the sunroom and now that the hot tub is ready, she's dying to try it out.

Baby T now has full run of the house. He is, in laymans terms, a holy terror. Not even a year old and walking like a pro. He's also babbling and I fully expect that in the next day or two he will go from babbling to talking in complete sentences. Probably in midbabble.

Oh, we also just got another addition to our new home. His name is Buster, he is a six month old Springer Spaniel/ Beagle mix. He's already fit into our home pretty well. He adores B (who is the correct 'owner') but he likes Baby T a lot, also. He's a cute dog and has a sweet personality. Pictures are on the way.

He's my first dog since Jojo died. Jojo was my Black Lab/ Dachshund mix. Yes, he was a unique dog. He was also the coolest dog ever. He looked like Eeyore, the way he'd sit and mope a little. I had him thirteen years and he was a pound dog, so I guess he was at least 15 years old when we had to sadly put him to sleep. That was the hardest thing I have ever done. He went before the Vet was done administering the shot and he had had a really rough night of crying out unless we were touching him, but it was still extremely hard watching him go.

He had gone to Alaska with me, was with me through the move to Tallahassee. It's funny, but he is one of the reasons I knew Jen was an unbelievingly awesome person. See, we met in January and two weeks into February, I woke up incredibly sick. Malaria was what I thought I had. So, ummm, I sort of stayed at Jen's place while she went to work. I laid on her couch and watch TV all day. She called a couple of times to check on me. I felt kind of stupid staying in her home without her there but a few hours later, she shows up, Jojo in tow. She had gone to my apartment (we never really hung out there much, for some reason) and gotten Jo. Walked him and all. Even through my malaria induced fever, I recognized she was a truly sweet, caring person.

I even think Jo held on long enough to make sure I was going to be ok. He started to decline a few months after we met, almost as if he could tell I was going to be ok. The first few months being back in Tallahassee was rough. Divorces suck. Enough said, huh? Anyway, Jojo was there for all of that.

Anyway, Buster, you have some mighty huge doggie shoes to fill. I don't expect you will, nor do I expect you to even try, but I think you'll be fine.
