It's been a busy week
Very busy. And I have lots of things to talk about but I want to tell you guys about a dream I had Saturday night. I know, hearing about other people's illogical surreal dreams probably aren't high on your list of things to do, but I'm going to share anyway.
In the dream, I had been reading a book about Jack the Ripper. This was just knowledge I had, that I had been reading this book. In the dream, I was previewing a home, and while looking through the home, I realized that this was the home that was described in the book as being where Jack lived. Yes, I realize Tallahassee is quite a distance from London, perhaps Jack commuted? Anyway, this freaked me out in the dream so I hurriedly (ok, ran like a little girl) for the door. As I opened the door.... I notice there is a yellow post it note on the screen door. I grab it and see it is written in the same style as letters written by Jack the Ripper. Needless to say I (scream like a little girl) quickly get in my car (but, I do check the back seat while scrabbling for the key lock) and jump in.
This is where I wake up. I lay in bed for a minute or two, when I hear the TV go off. Our tv hums a bit when you turn it off. I sit up and sure enough, there is no red light on the cable box. I look to my right and there is no digital alarm clock numbers lit up. Yes, I know, the power is off. I do not like the fact that I wake up from a bad dream approximately 30 seconds before the power goes off.
Logically, I know everything is fine, but I was kind of freaked out a little. It was pitch black. No lights anywhere. I kept waiting for my eyes to get used to what little light there is, so I can see a little, but there was absolutely no light. So, I'm laying there, slightly freaked out.
Then it hits me, what if Gabby, our 12 year old dog, decides she needs to go outside, which she frequently decides many nights around this time. I'm sorry but I was still too freaked out about the dream and the power going out practically at the same time not to mention how absolutely dark it was to want to walk the more or less blind Gabby through the entire house and then to take her outside.
Then something from the dream hit me. I was in Jack the Ripper's house, he stops by while I am exploring his home....and leaves me a post-it.
Somehow, I wasn't as freaked out anymore.
