Did you guys think my head had actually exploded?
Well, fortunately, it didn't. I have just been incredibly busy. Doing what, you ask? Well, let's see. After the Friday of No Closings, I spent all weekend moving into our new home. It is awesome! Excellent neighborhood, nice sized home, awesome fenced in backyard for B, three girls across the street whom B has already met and played with, and an office (xbox/dvd viewing/computer game room) for me, although it's also going to be Jen's scrapbook room and storage for the 3,046 videos that B has accumulated in her short life.
I hate moving. Well, I love moving into a new home but the actual act really sucks. My brother owns a big truck and a trailer and we were going to use that but at the last minute, the truck had some minor problem so we couldn't use it. Something silly like a faulty brake line..... We then had to find a moving truck on Saturday morning. Luckily, we got one and ended up making only three trips, one from our storage unit (goodbye, $81 a month payment!) and two from our last home. We still have a few more trips to get everything but we are ninety percent done and could live without the other ten percent.
After the long weekend, and a sunday where I unloaded the entire third truck by myself, I was exhausted. I did make it in to work fairly early since one of the closings was at 11 am. It went without a hitch and I got the check Tuesday! The other closing also went without a problem and will be getting that check today or tomorrow, so for now, life couldn't be better.
Tuesday was the last night of our Lamaze class. Funny, I expected more instruction. We spent all of 45 seconds on the breathing. Mostly, we watched videos of ..... interesting stuff. Honestly, I did well, and since we are getting closer to the day, I was glad to be able to see what my wife will be going through. But, the video of the Cesarean did make me squeamish, but I don't feel bad since I saw some grossed out women in the class, too.
I can not wait for Baby Thigpen to get here.
