Off the top of my head...
Arnold as President? Hmmmm. My hope is that if he does indeed run for the Presidency, his record as Governor of California will determine whether he is elected, not just that he is Ahnold! So far, he hasn't done too much, nothing great, nothing bad. But as others have already stated, you think he had his eyes set on the White House long before he was actually elected Governor?
I guess we'll see how serious he is by how much he pushes the Constitution requirement that you have to be a born US citizen to be President.
Mel Gibson's movie...Why is everyone wasting so much time debating everything about this movie? Does anyone remember 'The Last Temptation of Christ'? That one caused picketing, much hand wringing and of course, huge movie lines.
Some people are worried about the movie because they think the graphic violence depicted in the movie might cause anti- Semite trouble.
Hmmm. So, taking a guy, beating him senseless, then nailing him to a tree isn't excrutiatingly violent? That depiction is in the Bible, so why would a visual depiction be such a worry? I thinks it's silly that people have toned down the horrificly violent death that crucifixion is. I think it's even sillier that people are worried that graphically depicting the death of Jesus will somehow damage the moral fibre of the US. As if there is enough left to damage.
Anyway, feel free to enlighten me, but both topics seem like a bit of hot air and marketing.
