Hi, thanks for reading. Let's see, whats been going on in the last couple of months? Well, lots of stuff.

First off, we got a new vehicle. With a ten year old, a two year old and a new baby due in June, we needed more room. I really wanted a small SUV, like a Hyundai Tucson or a Saturn Vue. But, we decided after a few test drives that they wouldn't be big enough to haul all the kids.

I didnt want one of those bigger useless SUVs. So we went looking for a decent used minivan. The trick was, we were going to pay cash, so by golly, I wanted to (finally) get a good deal on a car.

So, we looked around and test drove a few minivans. I actually sort of liked driving them, I am tired of staring at the front grilles and headlights of SUVs in the turn lane opposite me, trying to see if I can safely turn left or if a Mack truck is steaming towards the intersection at 80 miles per hour.

We finally made it to the Mazda dealership and they had a realy nice used MPV minivan on the lot, so we test drove it. It drove relly well and looked pretty nice for a minivan so we asked what the cash price was. They gave it to us for half the book value! They even let us have it for a week and a half until I paid for it.




Whats really kind of sad is, I really like driving the van. It's easy to drive, you sit up as high as most SUV's, putting Ryan into his child seat is soooooo much easier and the thing has a stereo system that rocks!

Yes, I'm officially lame now.

But in case you want more evidence, read on!

Today I made my way to the Leon County Civic Center to buy a couple of tickets. At the Civic Center, I walked right over the spot where a bunch of friends and I camped out for REM tickets. REM!!! Sixteen years ago! We had a blast that night, very good parties earlier that night and when we finally made it to the line, there were already a good number of people ahead of us. No problem, we kept on partying there.

You wouldnt think it would be possible to sleep on concrete, but it is amazing what several gallons of beer can do for your sleeping abilities.

Ahhh, memories. That was a truly good night. I can only imagine how badly I would simply die if I tried to do any of that now, much less all of it in one night. Drinking that much beer, staying up til 4am or so, sleeping on concrete, in the low 50s, no, I'm pretty sure one or two of those things would surely kill me now.

Oh, what tickets was I getting today at the Civic Center?
